The Charlotte Observer reports that in the coming weeks an iPhone (Blackberry and Android coming soon) app will be available which will allow owners of these devices to upload pictures of problems directly to city staff. Users can track the status of complaints as well. Well done to the elected officials and city staff who made this happen.

The city of Charlotte’s about to launch a new iPhone application that will let residents do everything from complain about potholes to look for traffic accidents blocking their route to work.
City officials said the free app, called My Charlotte, will be available on Apple’s app store in 30 days. Versions for Blackberry and Android phones will follow.
